Can someone explain to me in plain English what he means? I really don't understand the meaning of his answer 😞

You know, not earth shattering mathematics. Just the one I learned while trying to break the codes of the nation with the best intelligence agency in the world.

The sigh in his responses potentially expresses the frustration over the fact that these models don't last forever, and even our best of the best approaches are still frought with outstanding issues and confounding factors that could spell doom with our approach in the future. We sigh at the fact that even our must successful executions may still quite possibly be due to extreme luck, as just another artefact of randomness. We can never say with 100% certainty that the null hypothesis can be rejected even at the 1% level. At some point AI can reverse engineer all our best edges and beat us at our own game. And then it's time to move on.

MONTHLY REMINDER THAT FAMA BLATANTLY HAS SAID THAT THE EFFICIENT MARKETS HYPOTHESIS IS AN EXTREME NULL HYPOTHESIS. IT IS A VERY GOOD MODEL

This isn't a groundbreaking discovery. If the EMH was true, profits would be impossible.

Of course the efficient market hypothesis is bullshit. If it wasn’t the stock prices wouldn’t go up and down just intraday without any news. In other words, if the price is always right, why does the price change all the time (just within the same trading day) for no good reason? If the price is always right then you have a hundred “right” prices for each stock every day. That doesn’t make much sense.

I got to really question whether this is legitimate or not. Only a fool would cite something like a PHD and equate that to somebody being intelligent.

The same way people during C*VID would discount anything somebody says unless they are a "doctor".
