Thank you for this interesting episode. I have some observations:

1. The tips and advice provided are applicable only in certain parts of the world, usually where gay men can live out their lifestyle openly and freely. Where homosexuality is criminalized all these tips are, unfortunately, irrelevant.
2. More often than not it is not the app scene that is toxic, rather it's the community itself that is cruel, nasty and toxic. The apps merely reflect this toxicity.
3. Gay men face a double whammy, They have not experienced a healthy way to express their love growing up, they faced abuse and prejudice over the years, the only vent they were allowed was through quick hookups, fear of getting hurt, fear of rejection, fear of jeopardizing their emotional and physical health. All these pile up and there is the inevitable feeling of sorrow and isolation growing up and becoming old.

Is there an authentic was to break free and find genuine love and true peace? I really don't know at this point but I keep on hoping for the best.
Maybe miracles do happen?
