So many jealous people in comments. The established brands were ripping off.

Took it for a good test drive:
The safety pack was honestly horribly intrusive and can actually cause an accident as it constantly interrupts your driving. There are constant beeeps and flashings left, right and center. Another bad thing is the speedometer, it's set too high on the dash and can be hard to see if you're 6ft tall, the flat steering also interrupts the view. Side mirrors are set too high and make it incredibly hard to see corners when turning.
Engine was great, quite punchy, smooth and quiet. Gearbox was fine, very noticeable when changing gears, not refined although the torque converter would have been so much better. I'm done with the DCT or DSG. Takes fun out of driving and they're all crap and become highly unreliable in a long run... Dump the DSG or CVT or DCT and just let us enjoy the drive!!!! Listen to the consumer!!! Otherwise a nice car... I decided not to get it simply due to highly intrusive safety crap. If you are going to put that much safety crap in it then let the car be fully automated and drive itself.
It's a no from me and I wouldn't recommend it.

I remember the days when the base model Holden Commodore came with vinyl seats (burn your a*se on a hot summer day!), and you had to upgrade to an "SL" to get cloth trim with real leather being true luxury. Now... MG offers vinyl (aka synthetic leather aka plastic..) as the luxury trim... the Gods must be crazy.

The sunroof is a gem. Too bad they don't come with it in Europe.

So the presentation was really good for the MG but was more confused. Why the white shoelace and brown shoelace that had me a little bit more confused in the vehicle.

Just wait 2-3 years, then get government ex-fleet with 50k run for half price, then we all can enjoy the value for money 💰 Love this Chinese cars and their crazy depressiasion, very good on a used market!

There's no ambient lighting in the interior. A major flaw. I wonder how long the person at SAIC who decided to take it out will last..

What a half baked review full of manufacturer appeasement.
Have they improved the "Pilot" system that was something you wanted to turn off as soon as you got behind the wheel and was borderline dangerous with it's abrupt steering inputs? Have they improved on switch gear ergonomics and departed from the 3rd stalk clunky cruise control.
I'm sure the driver attention system will be just as annoying to every other driver and not just you.

Thirsty engine. Requires premium fuel. Engine/gearbox a worry. Better options out there.
