In retrospect it makes absolute sense what Mr. Boyle says. However, I was able to pick up a bunch of Columbia products that were heavily discounted here in Europe. This seems a contradiction. Unless they had the strategy to start discounting when the sales targets were hit.
In any case, I am very happy with my Columbia winter coat, trousers and hiking boots.
