What builders are doing here in central Texas is building smaller house at the same high rates like a 1200 square foot house for 300k. Instead of build a bigger house.

on Zillow, look at the purchase history. Homes are 100K-150K higher on outdated SFHs from the 70s and 80s in a span of two years. Sit on the sidelines, people!

I recently moved back in with my parents after a breakup. They only charge me $250/month for rent. They want me to save as much as I can, for as long as possible for a house. I don't have kids, only student loan debt. I've been able save a significant amount because of them, and I'm so thankful.

My issue is, should I try to buy now or wait in my situation? I read news about the market daily, and I get so many contradicting statements. Its all so frustrating and confusing.
