Mastering the BMT 60 Second Shower

PRACTICE PRACTICE!!
Before Basic, I actually would practice taking 60-90 second showers. It actually helps a lot to know how to clean your body quickly and efficiently. It may sound crazy, but it'll only help you on your first day!

shampoo before getting in put in your head walk fast to the shower rinse yourself off and be out of the shower in less then 2 minutes and youre good. i showered and got dressed in like 4 mins

Just took a shower, and I timed myself... 65 seconds. Pretty good for my first try I guess.

The last day in disneyland bmt dorms I took 8 shower heads and had them all on me and took about a 20 minute shower haha

pretty accurate. however I'm sure 90% of them won't remember that first ever zero night BMT shower😂

The Air Force has made it easy for trainees to take a shower nowdays. Back when I was in BMT in 1996, all we had was a bar of soap that one or two other trainees had to share in the shower. We weren't allowed to have shampoo, washcloths, body wash, or lotion. The time to take a shower is about right. We did have the convenience however to walk straight across the hallway into the shower/bathroom area.

Your BMT experience is 100% dependent on who you get as MTI's. My advice is don't buy anything until you actually get there. I never had to rush in the shower during my time there.

Thank you! I've always wondered about that. I was waiting for the "hotspot" issue! That's the secret. Form a J. Roger that. Here's a question: with short hair like ours, can you (or would you want to) wash your hair in a sink to save shower time?
