Bro I was out on the slopes and saw you yesterday! Didn't want to interrupt your lesson you were giving on Signal but it was cool to see you!

No way, that's exactly my mistake (flipping the board too quickly and thus skidding) that I've tried to realise but could not on my own. Thank you A LOT. Need to get back on board asap now :) Your videos always make me a better rider.

It seems counterintuitive to ride even smoother on steeps but in reality that makes all the sense. I occasionally did it smoothly and calmly and it felt just right. But I didn't understand that it's because I've changed the edge early.

Really very good video. I think this was the final piece of the puzzle for me. Have been snowboarding for 31 years, but your videos are making a real difference to how I am riding. Thank you!

I've been snowboarding for 15+ years and recently revisiting my technique (never too late). These videos include really valuable tips and are all to the point. Appreciated

Another really good and clear tutorial. Thank you. And if anyone is thinking about Malcolm's online course, I would recommend it. The same detailed instruction is all there but way deeper and in a structured, easy to follow format. I just need to take it to the slopes now.

Wow your explanation of how the momentum carries and actually causes more skidding makes SO much sense but I had never thought about it that way. I definitely fall into the trap of rushing turns on the steep stuff. Excited to change that next time I go, thank you!

Thanks Malcolm! Just what I needed, smooth arc in the heels turns! Didn't manage to avoid that skidded moment ❤

Super relaxed video, but at the same time very clear and certainly useful, thank you

Malcom, you're an amazing teacher! The "need to really quickly make an edge change" on steep is what I do and I just realized that!
Now I need to work on the smooth arc.
I suspect I will need an empty black slope as I cannot focus on analyzing what others are doing while trying to keep my balance

Ive watched a bunch of your videos before my first ride of my second season and let me tell you… my runs on the first day this year are MILES better than any run I did last year. Thank you!

You explain it the best. It's very easy to understand and very easy to put into practice. Thanks very much. 👍👍👍

Another fantastic video, Malcolm. This one in particular really put some pieces in place for me. Not only have I been rushing turns on steep terrain into skids, but that has also introduced the dreaded hula-hoop maneuver, where my upper body and lower body are twisting in different directions as I'm just trying to kick the board around quicker. This is a HUGE eye opener for me. Thank you!

great vid, the graphic anim overlays are super helpful like at 8:24. always impressive how you do these in what feels like a single no cut take while demonstrating, def reinforces that this stuff is second nature to you

After this video finally a click happened in my head and I am no longer skidding at every turn. Applying back foot pressure was key ingrediant that I was missing and ofc be in a good position before turn initiation. Thank you Malcom!

Have been snowboarding for quite few seasons (almost 25 years). Love getting into details when it comes to technique. You are the only one Ive come across in all these years along with another great coach Neil McNab who makes absolute sense! The way you explain things is clear and effective. Managed to apply your theory on the slops straight away. Well done 👏🏻

In year 2 and this is exactly the video I needed! I also started leaning properly down the mountain and carving is so much easier.

PS - love the course!!

Great video! I just bought your online course and have been practicing mellow slope carved turns. I was hoping to try them on steeper slopes, and this video is perfect for that! I’ll definitely dive back into your course for more tips. It’s been an excellent resource—thank you!
