I am still a beginner in math after coming back to it after being away from HS for 7 years. I was always amazing at math in school and now I want to study it again for Calculus!! I have stumbled on the idea of learning proofs after constantly hearing about how much people hate them. I just can't understand why because I love to unlock my knowledge by taking pieces apart. I love building them back together to truly learn DEEP. I am going to start studying proofs even just for something like Geometry. Isn't that what Euclid did right? Even the most basic mathematics can be helped by writing proofs!! It's super cool seeing how all of the math actually works!! I can intuitively understand the math, but I want to be absorbed by it instead!

You should recommend some books on Logic as a prequel to proof writing such as such as Cohen & Nagel’s book on Logic and the Scientific Method.

Rediscovering, and reorientating to, mathematics through the historic bases: geometry, astronomy, and algebra. Going through Elements via copies of Elements themselves, and Sandy Bultena's BEAUTIFUL collection of proof demonstration, free on YouTube.

Im sure this book reference will help illuminate proofing from another...8]...angle.

Do we really need more of this. Like yes the lines are parallel because they dont intersect. why do i need to prove something that you can clearly see.
