I tried a lineless semi-limited animation/pmv vibe+ a focus on colours, which was really fun to work on!! I feel like the animation gets a lil weird lookin at times but i’ll live with it fkjdslh
working in a lineless style is interesting; i didn’t exactly find it more difficult (in a lot of ways it actually went faster than colour+lineart), but it was p different n fun

I love how in his dream, Thrushpelt doesn't fantasize about his own kits with Bluefur, he still sees Mistykit, Stonekit and Mosskit. This shows how much he really did love them as his own.

The fact that when Thrushpelt was dreaming about bluestar being with him as his mate, he didn't dream about having his own kits but instead was dreaming about all of them being together.This really shows how he thought of himself as the father of the kits.This nearly made me cry.I really need a fanfic of them being happy together with lots of fluff.😭
The artstyle is beautiful as well with how the characters are portrayed and the detail that make the expressions of the cats so clear.

This is TERRIFIC!!! always thurshpelt is shown as the poor character who never got his crush to love him, but this showed him in a totally yet not so different way!! The fact that he's enjoying his time w the kits as if they were him and showing all his love to blue even if it's not the same for her and he gets it yet still does it. Also the drawings at the end are REALLY CUTE AND KINDA SAD ??A, really love that everyone was waiting next to bluestar when she died it was a really nice touch :')

Honestly, I'm so glad to see someone's be depict their relationship as something without resentment. Thrush felt genuine love for Bluestar. All he wanted was her happiness and he'd keep her secret to make it happen. He was never mad she didn't love him and wanted to still have some relationship with her. He wasn't lead on or angry or used and I'm glad to see someone recognized that!

Thrustpelt does not get enough love. True, he was in love with Bluestar, but he never forced his feelings on her. She knew and he knew she didn't feel for him that way and he was thrilled to get the chance to even know her at all.

An amazingly underappreciated character. Take notes, kids! Just because your crush doesn't return your feelings doesn't mean you two can't be friends and have just as meaningful of a relationship.

Thrushpelt is a short king who stands out in a sea of toxic male characters in the series.

He gave his life loving and respecting everyone around them, covered for them when needed, not just Bluefur. He was hurt, but he accepted when his apprentice Spottedpaw became a medicine cat without question or complaining. He was a great temporary mentor to Goldenpaw. He stuck up for Bluefur when Sunstar was worried about her and questioned her loyalty to her clan compared to her kits. He didn't even question Bluefur when she needed him the most to lie about who her kits were. And I don't doubt he spent the rest of his life grieving over the loss of them.

Never once does he complain when turned down, or when his apprentice changes paths in life. Just pure love, acceptance and support.

He was such a memorable cat, a true breath of fresh air for the series. I'd say he'd need his own spinoff story but im sure the Erins would ruin him somehow...
