Since the return of the jedi.... Luke became the joker, thus his fall towards the dark side...

After tapping into dark side once again in order to defeat the Knights, Luke feels himself slipping further and further into corruption and in a final act of self-sacrifice, Luke confronts Rey, forcing her to kill him (because he sees her as the only one strong enough to take out Kylo and Snoke) - similar to what happened in Highlander:Endgame.

Who knows, will darth tantrum actually be a threat, will Rey feel less like a Mary Sue and will the villain make another useless planet destroyer battle station with hilarious obvious weak points, only time will tell

The story of Kylo turning to the dark side and making Luke question his judgement is fine. I absolutely hate the idea of Kylo having an obsession with Vader being the reason for him going rogue though. Not only does it completely shit on Anakin Skywalker's redemption at the end of Return of the Jedi, but it makes absolutely no sense that Anakin's force ghost wouldn't appear and counsel Kylo away from the dark side, they way Obi-wan did for Luke.

In some of the new canon, it has been revealed that Luke Skywalker experimented with other theologies and tried to incorporate it into his new version of the Jedi and since Disney has been borrowing elements from the EU (now Legends), it makes sense that he would see disappointment among many of his students who probably heard what the Jedi were and formed a clear idea in their heads of what to expect only to see something totally different that they weren't sure they were prepared for. Also, after everything Luke has gone through, deep down he knows he has a darkness inside of him that will never go away. Return of the Jedi revealed that when he was this close to killing his father.

I think it is clear that at some point Luke stops training Rey, and so she is forced to seek guidance elsewhere. There is no one else who could "help" her besides Kylo Ren and Snoke. In The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren offered to train her. For that, I think Rey will seek him out. They may or may not succeed in corrupting her, but at some point Luke will have to cast his doubts aside and step up to protect the galaxy. Who else has to die before he is ready? Leia? Maybe then he will be tempted to avenge her and teeter toward the dark side after killing Kylo Ren and whoever else gets in his way. For certain Snoke is going to arrange the chess pieces to keep himself safe from Luke. Someone under him will have to die first.

Luke found ancient written legend of abaloth and now he's scared because what yous don't see off camera when ray is using her force lift is that it's a mountain lol I'm just speculating.

I'm suspecting Grey Jedi with him, as many others believe. But I'm willing to hold my theories as very light and see what happens. Though I'm curious if Rey will be the first Grey Jedi with Luke's new beliefs

Its so popular to hate the mouse, in my opinion Disney is a perfect caretaker of the star wars legacy.They have the resources to do the movies justice.And in my opinion the force awakens was a very good film, I can tell JJ Abrams is a fan as well.

I sincerely hope they don't make him a goodie-goodie 100% Jedi, because in every other (now non)Canon, he never has been. He's always balanced both sides of the Force, being a good person, but using every emotion and ability he has available, whether it be a "Light" side or "Dark" side power.

I felt like the latest trailer threw too many Red herrings at us. Some things were meant to look too obvious.

With that said, having avoided any spoilers and no knowledge of the plot, my theory is that Luke turns, kills Leia and forces Rey to side with Kylo in stopping Snoke.

To be fair, they show in Dark Empire that he did turn Sith. In the new Novel about legends of his life, he violently killed multiple Star Destroyers with energy bolts, and force throwing lots of them into the planet of Jakku while laughing. I am pretty sure he is not well.

Luke to Rey "This will not turn out how you think" Rey lights up her light saber in a striking pose. I think Rey is going to the dark side(by killing Luke) to try to defeat the dark side.
I know this is a 'way out there' guess, but Star Wars has become 'way out there'.
