WATCH: Rep. Biggs questions Secret Service director at hearing on attempted Trump assassination
Показать описание
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., questioned Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle in a House Oversight hearing Monday on the July 13 attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Biggs accused Cheatle of refusing to answer the committee’s questions about the Secret Service’s performance on the day of the attack.
“She gets to stonewall, not deliver answers,” Biggs said.
He said he was calling for a “truly independent commission” of former Secret Service members to investigate the organization and protection of VIPs.
“People who can actually conduct this kind of investigation and give us real answers because I don't think you can, you're not going to give us those answers,” Biggs said to Cheatle.
