I'm just assembling my unit (same 3 HP unit as yours) and can not figure out the leg assembly. The instructions (step 15) indicate to use the top holes to attach the legs to the drum lid. If I use the top holes, the legs do not reach the top rim for securing at the top. When using the lower holes (like I noticed in your video) then my barrel rubs against the lid when the drum is unhooked from the lid. Did you run into this issue or do you have any idea where I've gone wrong in assembly? Oneida has not been able to help as of yet.

I believe that machine ought to get the job done, Guy. Well done review.

Great video Guy! Yes these machine are not cheap, but if you are a serious wood worker they are a great addition to the shop. I have the 5hp unit I can tell you first hand I spend less time cleaning saw dust and more time making it. Keep up the great videos!

This is such a great review Guy. I seriously want to buy one because my dusty sucks..or doesnt suck to be more accurate. Luckily I have no money otherwise you would have cost me a big chunk of change :D

Thanks Guy. You have now had the Oneida dust collection and the PM1500 bandsaw for a while. How well does the Oneida dust collection work with your PM1500? I've just saved up for the bandsaw (now waiting for 10% off at Woodcraft sales on Powermatic). Been giving this dust collector a hard look as I have limited space and more importantly no wall space for a wall mounted unit. Likely coming down to either the Harvey or the Oneida. If I get the Oneida, I will likely get their newer 5 HP version to allow for future expandability as I might want a larger jointer and planer in the future.

PS Is the the dog we see briefly in this video the one we occasionally hear barking in your podcasts?

I'd say I was green with envy, but how about yellow with envy!! Lol That looks like a great system, thanks for sharing.

Great system, out of my range at the moment. Question on 4" to 2 1/2". All of the machines that I am hooking to are either 2 1/2 or 3" ports. Am I better off, going with a main branch at 4" and then branching off to the smaller machine ports (with blast gates), or just run the adapter out the DC to 2 1/2 and then go direct? Hope the question makes sense.

Thats a sweet machine. It's one that I'm going to look at when I upgrade my current setup. Great demo, Guy!

Those are some impressive numbers! Definitely sounds like something to put at or near the top of my shop upgrades list. Thanks Guy for a very informative review. Oneida does one thing and clearly they're doing it very well. They make things that suck, in all the right ways for a woodshop. 🤣

That's a nice system, thanks for showing us the comparison

So, did they incorporate a VFD drive for the speed regulation or are they doing it some other way that's less expensive?

Hi Guy,
It's been few months since I started following you and enjoying your woodworking, what you are doing there is a tremendous great, I never seen any you tuber doing half of what you do thanks a lot for sharing all this. Just one point I would like to mention here "the tools sound" it's too high and I have to cover my phone speaker in every cut you do 😄 it will be great if you reduce it in your video editing.
Thanks and keep doing great job

Guy, After using the 3 hp unit, is that the size you would recommend for a garage workshop? Very informative video!
