I just wish we could get to know in advance who the skin is for because ranked generally is not an enjoyable experience for me and I don't really want to play ranked if the only thing I get from it is a skin for a champion I don't play or enjoy. I get that it would not make sense for them to reveal it in advance because I'm sure other people feel the same so people might play less ranked if they know they don't care about the skin. But I can dream :)

Personally I like this, i never had a reason to play ranked since it'd just be suffering mad toxicity in exchange of a border and maybe a skin for a champ i dont play. Now i can just have fun with my friends while getting rewards, pretty cool.
