Wear headphones! Also, messed up on the power output numbers, the car makes 260hp at 5250RPM and 302 lb⋅ft at 4000RPM.

Knowledgeable, perky downshifts, no annoying music, not too much talking. Damn solid video!

I own a 99' GT--very fun to drive, comfortable enough to daily, parts are cheap, pretty reliable, decent gas mileage, super affordable, timeless appearence, legendary motor, and for over 21 years old, still fast.

When i was in high school, my dad brought me a 2003 mustang GT as my first car and it was a great first car. 260 HP is too little for a V8 engine today but if you just like the sound of the V8 but not an absolute maniac or crazy racer, this is a perfect car to cruise around in. People who bash this car talking about how slow it is are those who like to participate in these illegal street races and who likes to drive fast 💨.

Man Brother, you sound like a younger guy, Im 48 and it was refreshing to hear a younger guy giving out spot on info!! I agree 100% on all points. Im so tired of crap info being put out about these cars. These guys always bagging on these engines being weak etc. They make great power for the time and ultra reliable, durable and the sound, cant be matched! Power is easily added with small turbo and some tuning, and I mean some serious power!Your getting in the mile range where you can start updating front end parts etc to get back its new handling feel. The long time warmup is common we have 3 and they are all the same. Its easy nowadays to talk smack about speed when young guys go out and take out 600+ dollar car note and then brag how they can smoke you. Its another thing to buy a 20 year old car with cash and learn how to turn a wrench and improve on something with your own two hands. The process is rewarding and most dont get that. It also takes some skill to drive one of these efficiently. I have a near stock 01 Bullitt that puts out 300 at the crank, my Bullitt is a handful to keep on the road even with 315s at the rear. Ive driven numerous new vehicles and they are awesome but extremely tame even with big horsepower. Driving these old manual stangs is a blast! Go for the 410 gears, I have them in mine and they are fantastic! Thumbs up on the vid👍👍

Love the Borla sound on that GT. There is no other car on the planet that sounds like a Mustang GT with good aftermarket exhaust. My wife and I recently became empty nesters and picked up a used but very well cared for 2006 GT Premium. It has 208k miles, but you could eat out of the engine bay it's so clean, and the car pulls like new. The prior owners took great care of it, and recently installed Flowmaster Outlaw series exhaust. The 3v has a wicked note!

I bought one three weeks ago and I'm loving it! Although within my first week of owning it, someone tried to steal it... Woke up to my neighbor knocking on my door at 5 am telling me my Mustang was in the middle of the street. His dogs starting barking, so he got up to see why, and only to see two guys running off after he looked outside his front door.

Just bought a 2002 Mustang GT with a 5-speed manual. Its my first sports car I have ever owned as well as my first car with a manual transmission. It only has 60k miles on it and its in great condition. I love it so far!

Love my Mustang GT 5 speed. Bought it new in 2000. Just in the last two years, I’ve installed the typical aesthetic mods and dropped 1.5” with 18” rims. Timeless solid reliable car.

I have a 2000 GT with an automatic transmission. I bought the 4:10 gears and will be installing them this summer. I can't wait to try it out with the 4:10!

Thanks for sharing! Picked up a 03 GT with 69, 000 miles last July, I’m the third owner. Previous had it 15 years, put 5, 000 miles on it, never drove it in the rain. Has the Mach 1000 stereo system, Awesome sound! Just as yours, everything is still working great. Also has a 5 speed with Borla, never get tired of the great sound produced! My only regret is not buying one sooner. Every time I turn the key, I know I’m in for great ride!

Thanks for taking us for the ride. I love the new edge stangs. I used to have a 2012 5.0 back in 2015, but like a fool, sold it a year later due to my employment requiring me to be driving more. I did get another one tho late Nov. of 2020 . A 2010 GT 5 speed that only had 8190 miles. Currently it has 8444 miles, as I just take it out once every two or three weeks when I feel the need for torque. I have a beater daily driver that I drive to work, grocery store; etc. When youtube lifts the 3 month ban on me from uploading, I plan on posting my primitive walk around video. It should be lifted sometime in June. Youtube has become gulag land. Anyway, sweet car man.

I have an '01 Bullitt that I bought new with 46K. Your assessment is spot on! The Tremec is notchy. You have to rev it for power. The handling is good. Your review was close to me driving mine. My Bullitt sounds soooo good. Thanks. Good job!
