My daughter just got accepted to FSU (starting this summer). We’re excited but oh so nervous. Your video is very helpful, especially about the car situation. We’re still deciding if she’s going to take her car since it seems to be a hassle driving there. We’re from south Florida and although the traffic is terrible here, it’s nothing compared to what you mentioned.

Native Tally person here! You are so right about how little there is to do (I’ve been to like every museum we have because there is not that much lol!) Still love it here!

Hey young man I just happed upon your channel...I wound up in PC FL in the early 80s a couple years older than you, I meet a ton of FSU folks in PC, great people, we went to Tally many times for sports and night life after games...My son now lives right outside Tally so Im still around...Tallahassee is a awesome city, Its a canopy ofshade form the live oaks and hidden little gems...Due South is the forgotten coast, for nature lovers, hikers, campers, hunters, fishermen its a paradise, ...PCB just 2 hours away, yea that requires a car but 2 or more people going in on the gas you got Nature galore, Thomasville G is Due North, old plantations everywhere...For Nature lovers Tally is a great location...Go Noles!!!

This video is informative, but the “cons” are misleading. I'm a parent of three FSU students. Tallahassee is NOT overcrowded. Just College Town. Stores were “raided” everywhere due to supply chain shortages (i.e. pandemic). There’s PLENTY to do if you dare to venture outside of College Town. And yes, winters are cold. The winter lows range from 40s to 60s with maybe two weeks of 30s. As for the drivers? You guessed it. Only in College Town. My recommendation is if your'e going to be living on or near campus, leave your car at home. Students can ride the Seminole Express and Star Metro buses for FREE and the routes throughout College Town are fairly extensive.

- Don't miss the annual Rocky Horror midnight show at the SLC
- Go play the piano in Kuersteiner one night
- Try the vegan lunch by the SLC (if it's still there, shoutout to Daru)
- Tallahassee Bicycle Polo team is one of the best in the USA (no kidding)
- Pull an all nighter at All Saint's before an exam
- FSU is the only university in the nation with its own circus on campus. It's free, go see a show
- Jimmy John's. I really miss Jimmy John's

Good video, best of luck to you and the FSU fam

- FSU alum, B.A. 2009, M.A. 2011, go Noles

I love the campus now but I could tell some bad parking stories from 30 years ago at FSU. Woodard used to go from Tennessee Street though campus and crossing the road was a challenge. I parked at the stadium and walked to Bellamy because there were no parking spaces on campus. There were no parking garages then, only parking lots with little parking. They will never provide enough parking.

Alum here - Tallahassee has a bunch of nice parks to explore and please do not sleep on the house parties. Also, be sure to look decent for Club Pub.

Hello Ashton!! Thank you for this video, it was very helpful. I was accepted to both USF and FSU and I'm not really sure which one to choose. I was admitted as a junior transfer student, majoring in chemical engineering. I am also an international student and was wondering how hard could it be to get a job on campus, as well as scholarships? Also, could you do a video about finding affordable off-campus housing? Thank you so much!!
