This song makes me genuinely happy, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on. In particular the stretch from 1:01 to 1:42; it's not even the 'epic' feeling you usually get from these orchestral soundtracks — just the simple impulse to smile.

1:00 this makes the mental lore of my head where smough and ornstein are cornering the chosen undead then solaire arrives and throws a lightning spear while charging at smough so the player and ornstein can now fight 1v1

After finishing the soul trilogy, beating these two for the first time is still one of my most precious experiences. Awesome soundtrack, awesome boss.

Where boys became men! If you managed to get this far it's a feat in of itself, but if you manage to actually BEAT them then you've earned respect in the entire soulsborne community. Goodluck to those in 2025 who have yet to fell the elegant and mighty, Ornstein and Smough!
