How would the Earth look if Antarctica completely melted away? The geography of the world would completely shift, with most major cities being completely consumed by water. Is there anywhere that would be safe? Check out today's epic new video that explores one of the worst disasters that could occur if Antarctica melted and the ocean waters rose to unthinkable levels!

We would live in Waterworld. "Dry land is not a myth, I have seen it!"

10:06 actually it's a positive feedback loop, just in a 'bad' direction. A negative feedback loop would have the effects of the change causing less of the change, not more of it.

If enough energy hit the earth to suddenly melt the Antarctic ice belt, I am pretty sure the entire planet would be dead before the water level could start to rise.

This reminds me of one of my all time favorite shows called Gargantia. All of earth's ice melted and the population that survived now live on huge ships. So many years have passed that the concept of "land" is foreign to the future generations. Interesting how that's an actual possibility.

hey there - at 10:12 you talk about how melting ice means lower albedo means warmer temps means more melting ice, and refer to it as a "negative feedback loop"
A negative feedback loop is one where the feedback has a coefficient less than 1, causing the loop to dampen and taper off. A positive feedback loop is one where the loop grows because the output does not cause the system to trend towards stability. The ice-albedo feedback loop is an example of a positive feedback loop, as the rate of the process increases as a result of the loop

Has anyone else noticed how a lot of movies that involve Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) are usually paired with the topic of drastic climate change/global warming??

Predictive Programming - My favorite movie "Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)" - 2001; it was mentioned that climate change got worse as time went on, and many cities (most notably New York) were completely flooded and ruined - in fact in that same movie you will see that the only part of the Statue of Liberty that is visible above water is the torch! In present day 2023, New York is having a flood problem and some sources say that the weight of the skyscrapers is contributing to New York slowly sinking...

I am surprised that you have excepted a sponsorship from better help. Although I agree with the notion in the ideas of this company offers, it is concerning that they are being sued for privacy issues.

So, they play this out like it's possible. It's not. Sea level rise is happening, but slowly. No one will be displaced because it's going to be so slow, people will just not live there when it's not possible.

I'm a little confused as to why there is a polar bear in the south pole 🤔.
