Gev doesn't give increasingly more. He gives one per opponent who lost life this turn. That said, he only needs one in order to go infinite with redcap

Your opponent can still respond to the persist trigger on the stack and activate isochron scepter to recast the exiled spell all before redcap re-enters

Also, you would just cast the angels grace in response to the triggers from redcap, cuz you cant sac the redcap while the persist and damage trigger is on the stack, because redcap is in your graveyard

Also even if it wasn't a mana ability you can respond to the Isochron Scepter activated ability *before* the copy of Angel's Grace is cast. You'd have to Iso in response to the persist trigger.

Or just remove Gev in response to the persist trigger.

My question is, how does the redcap gets the counter the next turn? Isn't Gev giving the +1/+1 trigger after redcap enters and resolve his ability, so he can't enter with the +1/+1, so the redcapt would be with a -1/-1 counter, he would need make damage before

It’s harder with white but blue can shut this down pretty easily. The answers are pretty powerful and because of that, they are climbing in price steadily. You could also green slime the commanders ability in response. It’s not unstoppable, but I guess you broke murderous redcap 🤣
