BASHA UHURU 2019 | Sounds of Freedom Music Festival

The Basha Uhuru Sounds of Freedom music festival is a platform for an eclectic and exciting mix of South African music. As part of Constitution Hill’s commitment to strengthening the emergent music industry, Sounds of Freedom – one of the most anticipated on the Johannesburg music festival calendar – will feature a mash up of both established and emerging artists, blazing trails across the music scene.

The Festival hosts two stages – the main one located on Constitutional Square with our nation’s highest court as the backdrop - and the second at the historical Old Fort Parade Ground. Sounds of Freedom, has in the past drawn over 8 000 youth, and is set once again to celebrate and shape the cultural landscape of the country.
