As a kid, I didn't watch Snowwhite on English, because I grew up in Serbia, been taught Serbian and have Serbian as my native language, and in Serbian translation it goes:"Ogledalce, ogledalce moje...", which roughly translates to "Little mirror, little mirror of mine", so here the word mirror WAS actually mentioned 2 times.

The original german version is "spieglein, spieglein an der wand" which means "little mirror, little mirror on the wall" so mirror mirror would probably be the more accurate translation honestly

Actually “mirror, mirror on the wall” is the original. It predates Disney. That’s why we all remember it, it’s what said in the classic fairytale
