The name macedonia is a greek word that is mentioned originally in ancient Greek Kingdom where among others, Aristotele was born and Alexander the Great.The idea that skopian people have some connection with the ancient Macedonia of Alexander the great it is completly stupid for two reasons.First, the people of skopje are slavs who speak a slavic language (totally bulgarian) and the slavs began to reach this area in the 6th century.About 1000 years after Alexander's death.Secondly the territory of the country it hardly correspond at all in the territory of ancient Macedonia.Most of their land correspond not to the ancient Macedonia but in the ancient kingdom of Paeonia. So they have nothing to do with the macedonian empire.As for Alexander the great he spoke greek, he was from the Argead Dynasty an ancient Greek royal house.His father created the Corinth Conference a federation of greek states.His teacher was Aristotle one of the greatest greek phylosofers, he was the ruller of the Panhellenic Alliance.They say that he was always sleeping with iliad under his headrest and consider himself as descendant of Achilles.The fact that some skopje residents say that Alexander the great wasn't greek shows that they dont love him, they use his name to give false glory to their country.And please skoopje redsidents write below why you think these are wrong with true FACTS

1st question: if Macedonians weren't Greeks why they didn't spread their own language and spread the Greek one?

2nd question: why the historians haven't found any Macedonian language except the ancient Greek one in ancient Macedonia?

3rd question: why don't you show us this Macedonian language? Some ancient coins for example or anything ancient that says macedonski or anything?

Μήκος=Length, and as Macedonians were close relatives with Spartans, the pronounced the word μάκος insteed of μήκος. So, they named themselves Macedonians and greeks

Greece has the language, the names, the monuments and the ancient writters with its side. ''North Macedonia'' has communist propaganda.
Φίλιππος (Φιλ + ίππος) Filippos (fil + ippos) Fil=friend in Greek and Ippos=horse in Greek.
Αριστοτέλης (Αριστος + τέλειος) Aristotelis (Aristos + Teleios) Aristos=fine and teleios =perfect in Greek.
I can give you about 4, 000 such written examples where in Greek there is direct meaning and in slavic there is no meaning.
Also those names cannot be easily pronounced by the northomacedonias (vardarians for the exact) but they are pronounced easily by the Greeks.
Also study the ancient writters of thht time I give some names only
Αισχύνης (Aisxunis), Αριανός (Arianos), Θουκυδίδης (Thoukidides). Πλούταρχος (Ploutarchos), Ηρόδοτος (HHerodotes), Ισοκράτης (Hisocrates), Πλάτωνας (Platonas), etc

As an Iraqi, I completely understand what it feels to have your history robbed from you.

Believe it or not, the Persians, your best friends, are trying to do the same thing with the history of Mesopotamia (ancient Iraq).

I noticed that the way the Greek presents their history, with regard to Mecadon, is very similar to the way the Persian present theirs.

They are dancing around the city of Babylon trying to take full credit for it and even go as far as claiming that the Babylonians were half Persian.

In fact, it's the Babylonians who shaped the up the ungrateful Persian civilization.

The reason behind the endless similarities between Babylon and Persia is because Babylon literally gave birth to Persia.

However, the Persians believe it's the other way around. They want to claim that the most glorious parts of our history is in fact Persian history.

So I suspected that the Greek might be doing the exact same thing.
