The M1 Macbooks don't cold boot that fast, I thought this was well-known. However I don't ever have to turn if off.

I use both, and I feel like Windows takes more time to load every components after logging onto your session than the mac does. So it’s relatively the same thing

As a lifelong Windows user I bought an M1 MacBook and it absolutely destroys my last laptop zephyrs g14 with a ryzen 9 in it! I don’t know what this razor has but boot up time doesn’t mean anything my M1 is always on and doesn’t randomly wake up.

To make it actually valid, you have to do a restart, because Windows cheats on shutdown now and doesn’t actually shut down - it goes into a partial shutdown state where it can boot up quickly. This isn’t what a full boot actually looks like in 2021. Otherwise a better comparison would be to put both to sleep and compare them waking up.

macOS generally takes more time to load, its just how the OS is built. no matter ho fast the ssd is

Disable fast boot and then boot windows or just restart both devices to find actual powering on duration.
Windows use memory page dump to save previous running state and boot with that so it's fast. MacOS in the other hand doesn't do that because you are supposed to fix temporary issues after a reboot like some system services aren't starting.
Microsoft use fastboot because booting of windows is really slow.

The razor wasn’t fully shutdown like the Mac.. you need to hold shift when clicking shutdown to stop the quick boot features

but unlike the blade 14, u dont need to shut down the macbook, u can just let it sleep, it barely uses power when it sleeps. macbook m1 is definitely wake from sleep faster than any other laptops. actually, macbook m1 wake up instantly from sleep when u lift the lid.
