Why I loathe Kamala Harris | Lionel Shriver

Kamala Harris has been hailed as the candidate of ‘joy’. But is there any substance beneath the supposedly feelgood vibes? Here, Lionel Shriver – author of Mania – tells spiked that there’s something fraudulent about Harris, who she says has never had an original idea nor held a consistent principle. Shriver also weighs in on the interminable ‘Trump is a fascist’ debate, the incompetence of Tim Walz and the dangers of a tight election result.

JD Vance comes from a dying steel town. He was raised by his grandmother because his mom was a drug addict. I appraised homes in Middletown, OH for 35 years, and I've seen Vance's 1st Chapter played out over and over. He's an exceptional human being by virtue of the heights he has reached from the start that he had. We're very proud of his achievements.

I’m a new US citizen from Canada who voted TRUMP. I’ve been following him since the 80’s and 90’s. He’s been saying the same things about America falling behind and wanted to make things better for the last 30 years. He used to be a Democrat and all the people who hate him now used to love him. It’s bizarre. Trump has stayed the same. He is a genuine person warts and all. I like him. 🙂
