In this video, I tell you about some signs of bad motor mounts. These are simple symptoms to look out for, and if you see a few of them together, then it is usually a sign that you will be needing new motor mounts in the very near future. Motor mounts are extremely important because the keep the engine in place and ensure that it continues to run smoothly. If your motor mounts are bad, you can experience a whole bunch of bad symptoms that I outline throughout the video!

Vibration is more noticeable at low rpm's, like when you are in gear or drive and waiting at lights. Typically a motor smooths out at high rpm's, although when you accelerate the power may lift the engine if your mounts are bad, but this isn't a vibrate its more a clunk as the engine drops back down.

Trust me change your engine mounts... It will make your car feel like the first day it left the dealership. It is ridiculous how night and day it is.

Most of this information is false. You'll have more vibration at idle, especially in gear. The belts are mounted to the engine and will not wear out due to bad mounts. Pop the hood and watch for excessive movement of the engine as you shift from reverse to drive while holding brakes down. There you go, good info without yelling or tweaked out behavior.

Other symptoms could include vehicle pull that resembles alignment issues, hard steering on one or both sides. If all mounts are bad front end wobble that resembles a suspension issue can shift from one side to another. Impact noises especially heard at low speeds that can resemble worn sway bar linkage. Squeaking or grinding noises to one or both sides on sharp turns. Transmission clunk in higher gears. Jolting ride resembling worn suspension. A loud clunking noise after start and/or at shutoff. Not an expensive fix

Vibrating upon acceleration and then smooth when off the gas is another sign. The best way to tell is to open the bonnet place the car in gear and give it the gas while braking. The engine will jump if the mount is broken

Please don’t drive and make videos it’s just irresponsible. The reason you couldn’t park twice and had to go for a third time was because you were distracted. It’s also easier to avoid crashing your car and breaking your engine mounts by keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes primarily looking out the windscreen, Not a mobile phone screen.
