I have been a cop for over 27 years. These videos embarrass me and the profession. I was told early on.. you win some you lose some but know what you have the right to ask for. These videos should be mandatory in the academy and in continuation training. These cops frustrate me more than anything. Let the ego go. KNOW THE LAW!

I'd like to express my thanks to this channel. I've learned so much. I was recently at a gas station 500 feet from home and greenlighted by an officer who blatantly walked up and asked for ID while I was buying coffee at 9pm before work. I asked his reasons, he said he didn't need any. As soon as I asked for a sgt/capt. He walked to his vehicle came back and said you're free to go. 2 years ago I'd of given my ID even though I've never been in cuffs in my life. Thank you so much.

I, too, am a former deputy and police officer from Indy. They have the same laws is Cass County as we do in Marion County. That arrest threat was bogus and the Captain allowed it to go on because he was letting his son try out his Halloween costume. 15 yr old kids can't go through the Academy.
