I truly appreciate the criticism and the heartfelt protection and support of the Second Amendment. If I could go back in time and rephrase what I said I would’ve. My goal/effort with this interview was to bring Lance and his wildly extreme far left anti-second amendment audience to the table to discuss freedom. The single sentence that you were referencing to might be the only example in my 20 years in the public eye remotely in the vicinity (and must be taken out of context) to not be an absolute defense of the Second Amendment. I clarified this interview and recoil magazine the prior week, at the NRA, that same year, and at shot show that same year. Clearly, you didn’t do any research before you decided to dunk on me. Which is fine. Regardless of my service, I am open to criticism. I will just say plainly that I love the constitution and support the second amendment exactly how it is written. I have sworn to protect it, every single person that comes and works with me, receives a copy of the constitution on the first day in our office. If you walk in to my office at my desk and on our conference table, you’ll find a copy of the constitution.
Thank you for your consistent defense of the Second Amendment. I definitely learned from this interview and have not made the same mistake again. I will continue to go into arenas with people that disagree with me in an effort to bring them to the side of freedom. And I also will never attack someone for my own gain or fame. God bless you and God bless America.

I'm grateful that the Constitution is not applied at the discretion of veterans.

Kinda like Dakota Meyer and the debacle of him insulting dudes who use guns and equipment recreationally to defend themselves, gatekeeping who gets to protect themselves.

In my 27 year military career I met Nazis, Communists, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, KKK members, and all sorts of people ranging from super heroes to village idiots among those groups in the ranks.

I’m grateful to have served with them (or survived them in some cases). But gratitude isn’t unquestionable trust and respect.

Did some electrical work as a sub for a friend doing a remodel. He was telling me how cool the customer was and how he had so many guns and loved shooting. Reality was far different.

I carry all the time including at work, unless I have to crawl through tight spaces I'm carrying and customers generally know me or just don't care. I get repeat business from people who've seen it but never discussed it. Well last day at this guy's house he realizes I'm carrying and has a fit. He started with that gun can fall out of holster and go off and how unsafe it was for me to work with a gun. I showed him the retention and no way it's falling out even if I worked upside down.

He then proceeded to tell me he's former green beret and doesn't believe 95% of Americans should be allowed to carry a firearm because they aren't trained like him. As I finished the last box I was on when he confronted me I said most in the military never use their pistols, it's rifles they shoot even in cqb. I even said we can go to the range or use his and see who's better with a handgun, shoot no shoot targets, drawing from a holster and just target shooting. He refused to take the challenge. He'd probably out shoot me with a long gun and that's mostly what he had at his house and what his range was set up for. I think he knew I would likely best him with the handgun since that's what I primarily practice with since it's on me every moment not in bed.

While I thanked him for his service, I told him it didn't give him the right to deny others rights and my right to carry us what he's supposed to defend. Career military like that one eyed snake Crenshaw and special forces get this I'm better than you mere citizens attitude and become dictators. Specially career military since it is a dictatorship and they get used to just telling people what to do without questions.

I'm sick of guys like tim kennedy, thinking they can tell people what to do just because they were a good government servant.

He's been crystal clear this whole time what he wants and I've never trusted him for years he's a turncoat!

First, he wasn't a mailman or a clerk that worked for the 'federal government' as you put it. That was meant to be disrespectful and belittling of what he was; which was a Special Forces operator who deployed multiple times in service of this country.
Second, why haven't you responded to the thoughtful response he posted on this video?

The biggest enemy to the 2nd amendment is compliance. My biggest pet peeve though, is it doesn't affect me I don't care.

Thank you Johnny for reiterating that the Constitution does not allow us to have firearms. It prohibits the government from creating any laws that violates our God given right to possess arms (e.g. firearms).

Wow that is really disappointing to hear Tim thinks like that. I would rather not have a nanny state thank you.

100% agree. People seem to forget that the Bill of Rights are not rules put on the people, they are restrictions put upon the government.

Glad you pointed these things out. You should add the clips of him saying each thing, it will add validation to your statements and credibility to you.

I am a Marine, 5 years past getting out. Nothing I did replaced the 2nd amendment, nor did my service or anyone else's fulfill your civic obligation to be armed and ready to defend the nation.

As a veteran, I believe we have put veterans on a mile high pedestal. Guys like Tim Kennedy, Mike Glover, DJ Shipley, Dakota Meyers, and he's a MoH recipient, all have my undying respect for what they did on active duty, but my respect ends there. They are no longer active duty and are just regular joes like you and me. I served with plenty of people who were Grade A, USDA certified pieces of shit who I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw them. Just cause a person served doesn't mean we should blindly accept what they say and not hold them accountable for what they say, especially in positions of influence like these guys.

I am with you, Johnny. I live in Southern Illinois, and we have been having some real battles as of late. Our governor passed a law to outlaw Ar-15 rifles. Fortunately, the Supreme Court stepped in, and said that it is in violation of our constitutional rights. It's crazy, man. My wife, and I are looking for property in a more Constitutional friendly state. It was like over night I went from a regular citizen to a felon for things I bought legally. ( I refused to accept this law) Fortunately, all of our police chiefs, and Sherriff departments stated that they would not uphold a law that puts good citizens in a criminal situation. The Supreme court got us out of it for now, but it is not over. I believe there is no room for compromise where our rights are concerned. I know people who claim to be fine with guns, then when I mention you should be able to own a tank if you can afford it or a fully automatic rifle they get real weird real fast. I just tell them if you think there needs to be restrictions on our right to bear arms, then you really do not understand what your rights are. People do think our government lets us have this or lets us buy that. Listen, It isn't about letting me do anything. IT IS MY RIGHT REGARDLESS of what you think. Yeah, man. Sorry about the rant. I am very passionate about our constitution, and I wanted to thank you for this video. I wasn't aware that Tim said some of these things, but I know he is bought, and paid for. I mean every time you see a tactical commercial he is in it, so I am not surprised that he would say anything if it may cement any potential bond with a way to make money. Look, it is real simple. You are either all in or you aren't.

As a retired veteran your oath that was voluntarily given is forever. Not what parts you like it all applies. Anything less is a cowardly way out.
