Last year I found this sweet modification for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner. They are called ceiling nets. They mount on the ceiling of your truck or SUV and offer a place for additional storage. Recently I purchased a 2016 Toyota 4Runner and this tailgate net was the perfect modification. Since we purchased a 5th gen 4Runner with the 3rd row a ceiling net was not an option. But this works great and we are excited to put it to use.
I love to support local small businesses. Raingler is a small business located out of Colorado. It's good to know I am supporting a USA made product. Since discovering this company over a year ago their website has expanded significantly. I wouldn't be surprised if they now offered more than 10x the options they previously carried. Additionally they have added support videos to assist with installation.
It was relatively easy to install in my vehicle and only took 15-20 minutes. Now to put it to the real test of actual usage. I can attest that the ceiling net in my previous video was certainly up to the task.

2010 - newer Toyota 4Runner 5th Gen tailgate net
Keep your stuff from falling out back and the dog from leaping out as you raise the liftgate in your 4Runner now!
Adjustable strap length and 16" height tailgate barrier to keep stuff from falling out of the back of the Toyota 4Runners when liftgate opens. Great and easy install for the newer 5th generation 4Runner (including NA 2010 - newer models) to keep all the stuff from falling out when you open the lift gate. Includes our upgraded PVC coated steel mounts and heavy-duty snap clip pair for lower mount point locations.
No permanent modification and can be returned to full factory easily later if desired.
NOTE: Most 4runners have factory floor anchor points about 49" apart. If yours has factory floor anchors about 39" apart please order the narrow width version of this net shown in last 3 images here.
2010 - newer Toyota 4Runner rear cargo door interior handle
Much easier to grab onto and pull down with our UV resistant scuba style handle, neoprene with an injection set semi pliable core. Not a plastic handle. Great for grabbing ahold of and pulling down. Replaces old slick style web loop from factory. Simple remove and replace installation. Fits all 5th generation 4Runner including the NA 2010 - newer models.
Includes 304 stainless steel rubber backed washer to tight, rattle-free installation.
