Erhomenos o Kirios. Vatopedi chorus. "Going to voluntary sufferings, God said to the spostles..." Hymn sung on Holy Monday. Ερχόμενος ο Κύριος. Ψάλλει χορός Βατοπεδινών Πατέρων. See lyrics and translation bellow:

Ερχόμενος ο Κύριος προς το εκούσιον πάθος,
Going for voluntary sufferings,
τοις αποστόλοις έλεγεν εν τη οδώ•
the Lord said on the way to the apostols:
ιδού αναβαίνομεν εις Ιεροσόλυμα
"Here, we are ascending to Jerusalem
και παραδοθήσεται ο Υιός του ανθρώπου,
and the Son of God
καθώς γέγραπται περί αυτού.
as it has been written of Him, will be betrayed".
Δεύτε ουν και ημείς, κεκαθαρμέναις διανοίαις,
Purifying our thoughts, let us also come;
συμπορευθώμεν αυτώ και συσταυρωθώμεν
let us follow Him, and crucify ourselves;
και νεκρωθώμεν δι’ αυτόν ταις του βίου ηδοναίς,
in His name let us deaden our worldly pleasures,
ίνα και συζήσωμεν αυτώ, και ακούσωμεν βοώντος αυτού,
and thus come to life with Him and hear His words:
ουκέτι εις την επίγειον Ιερουσαλήμ δια το παθείν,
"I am ascending to the earthly Jerusalem not only to undergo sufferings,
αλλά αναβαίνω προς τον Πατέρα μου
but I am ascending to My Father
και Πατέρα υμών και Θεόν μου και Θεόν και Θεόν υμών,
and to your Father; to My God and to your God.
και συνανυψώ υμάς εις την άνω Ιερουσαλήμ,
And togerther with me I will raise you to the upper Jerusalem
εν τη Βασιλεία των ουρανών.
in the Kingdom of Heaven."
