The fact that he was calm enough to close the knife safely before worrying about falling was badass

Shows strength that rope was still holding on after 90% cut through

To be honest, taking the time to close the knife is probably a good way to make sure you don't panic pull your chute too early before reaching sufficient falling velocity

Closing the knife before falling shows serious composure and skill. The fact that the rope held up despite being almost cut through is impressive.

Sparing what little time you had in free fall to put the blade away is such a baller move. Bro is absolutely unfazed

The smile and giggle as he turns around mid fall is both inspiring and truly terrifying

I've never parachuted in my life, but I assume it is incredibly hard react to a rope breaking, most skydivers and base jumpers decide when they jump right? then closing your box cutter, then rotate rotating yourself 180 through your spine! this might be the most impressive juno I've ever seen

Dude the absolute craziest part is how you can STILL focus on closing the box cutter and put it away as you’re free falling 1300 FT towards sharp rocks. You my friend are a beast

I’m a skydive instructor. For those wondering, there’s a safety guideline when it comes to deploying the chute. The safest point of chute deployment is to get to an airspeed of between 120-160 mph. Anything below 120mph, the chute won’t deploy evenly and stabilise correctly. This can put you in a very bad situation.
