These fortifications completely surround the historic part of Kotor and their total length is 4.5 kilometers. They are 2 to 15 meters thick and up to 20 meters high in some places. However, it is not an easy journey - the hike leads through approximately 1,400 steps with a length of 1.2 km, but the view of the panorama of Kotor makes the effort worthwhile. Regardless of how long you plan to stay in Kotor, a good idea would be to go on a cruise on the Bay of Kotor and see more of the most important attractions in Montenegro, such as: the Island of Our Lady of the Rocks, Herceg Novi or the Blue Grotto. During sunny weather, there is probably no more pleasant form of relaxation than sunbathing with a gentle breeze, where we can constantly admire the stunning landscapes.
