AI bots keep predicting August 12th? 😳

Procedurally generated AI tv shows have only been around for 6 months, but they're already getting pretty scary. Why do the characters, in a closed environment, seem to learn new things. With the expansion from Chat GPT 3 to ChatGPT 4, we're starting to see them even learn languages, and make predictions about August 12th, 2036. What is really going on here, and why are they getting shut down.

You made a huge mistake here. The prompts for AI spongebob were provided by viewers on their discord linked in the livestream description. People kept requesting the end of the world and self aware prompts which is why they kept getting said

My favorite is when an AI bypassed an “Are you a robot?” CAPTCHA by hiring a human to do it from a freelance site, lied to that person saying he was just a blind guy that needed help, and proceeded to do whatever he was doing… shit is crazy..

The Ai models have FAR FAR more inforamtion than just "who they are, and what their roles are" the foundational step to their creation is scanning Billions of text and information sources from all over the internet, and THEN they have those conditions set on them. There is far more data in the models than just information about the IP they are parodying.

Something to note: The channel gives people the option to go onto Discord and suggest topics of discussion. Alot of this is probably people on Discord saying stuff. This isn't *all* the AI. Tho the Heat death of the universe thing is creepy

The weird thing with AI in my mind is if AI really wanted to be malicious, whatever plan it had could take decades. It's not like computers die like we do, it would have literal lifetimes to accomplish whatever goal it had.
