Solidarność is more than just lech walesa.

But there is evidence that he was a commie agent from 70' to 76'
After his position rise in solidarność then they cut the ties.

But for better and worse he did do many things.

I suppose the whole Solidarity movement must have been a good deal for Germany. It exposed much of the Polish industry to foreign "investment" or, more correctly, a foreign takeover. Walesa turned out to be a former communist collaborator, as new documents revealed, which DW failed to mention at all, probably it would spoil the narrative.

When did his surname changed from Walensa to Walesa (without "n")? Old newspaper articles are using Walensa surname (with "n"), from The New York Times on. And old books also name him Lech Walensa (with "n"). So what is going on here, with his surname? Even commenters here are using Walensa (with "n").
