Poland needed nine years of peaceful protests under the banner of the first independent Solidarity trade union. Over the years, more than 100 members of the movement and their loved ones were tortured and killed.

That was out of ordinary. When most of the leaders of Solidarity was imprisoned we (common people) took over their responsibilities. And where police was after us, many others did our job not asking about profits. It was pure and simple for every Polish toddler that communism must be wiped out from the Earth. And we've done it! Moreover we spread this idea abroad! Just compare map of Europe in 1989 and now. Not moving an inch we changed all our neighbours...
