How to insulate sash windows - draught proofing

How to insulate old style sash windows with felt strips, foam strips and brush draught excluders.

This has been my problem for yrs and I would just stuff cotton in the windows. I'm moving soon but so grateful to have found this video. I'm saving it for future and anyone needs help

I live in a house where the sash windows in my 1902 house were painted shut, the string, and the locks. And underneath the white thick paint is lead
