Avengers Doomsday ANOTHER Avenger Confirmed to Return & Writer Revealed

Avengers: Doomsday is an upcoming superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The film will see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, The film is a sequel to The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It is the thirty-ninth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and third installment of Phase Six. The film is set to be released on May 1, 2026.

A sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, will be released on May 7, 2027.

I think there is a possibility of Robert Downey Jr. Could make an appearance in Fantastic Four as Doom to set up Avengers: Doomsday. He could be the Doctor Doom from the Fantastic four universe before Galactus destroyed his world.

Hawkeye hasn't appeared in a film since Endgame so it'll be nice to see him again hopefully with Kate Bishop

I was hoping for the Russo Brothers return and glad they are back. I am torn about RDjr. coming back. It’s a bit strange. But, if Doom is somehow a Stark variant instead of a preening Prince from Latveria, I guess there is a reason. I wanted Mads Mikkelson. He was born to play Doom. Yes, I know he’s already in the MCU as is many other actors who have played dual roles. The roster of the Avengers is the most important thing. The Russo’s will cut the fat coz Katy(really) and Shang-Chi are like the Eternals and feel like their own thing. Keep it OG with Hawkeye, Hulk, Thor, Captain America(Sam), White Widow(Yelena, upgrade from Thunderbolts), Vision(white version, but create a new version of himself), Scarlet Witch(looking for redemption), Dr. Strange and Spider-Man. Captain Marvel on standby. Her omnipotence detracts from story telling.
Potential team members who can show up for the next film would be Black Panther(Shuri), Ant-Man & War Machine. Plenty to get the party started.

Why does everybody talk like Benedict Cumberbatch coming back confirms anything? Means anything? Like Dr strange is a main avenger and had lots of interaction with them.
He’s only appeared with The Avengers once, and that was infinity war. Apart from that the avengers don’t know Dr. Strange really that well… the only time they met Dr strange is when the universe was in trouble…? And the conversations wasn’t that big.
Dr. Strange hyping up avengers doesn’t work for me. And I’ve never understood why he does...
Reason is he’s had few screen time with them, but yeah, everybody talks like he’s a main avenger it’s odd..

Hopefully, The Russo Brothers will sort out 🔧🧰 there MCU heroes like Captain Marvel to make better stories and good writing ✍️ for The New Avengers team more interesting and likable, but it will take sometime to fix them alright we have to be more petition.

- Now as for released date, I don’t think the Avengers Doomsday is likely to release in 2026 anymore. The film would have to just push it to 2028 and Secret Wars in the Future. Even Disney is in the situation right now, they do want to slow down there films to focus on “Quality >>> over >>> Quantity”.
