A 17-year-old student who couldn’t afford the fee after qualifying for Banaras Hindu University (BHU) received Rs 15,000 the Allahabad High Court on Monday. Sanskriti Ranjan, who is from the Scheduled Castes community, appeared before the Lucknow bench of the high court. She had cleared the JEE, or the Joint Entrance Examination for higher educational institutions. With 92.77 percentile, she ranked of 2,062 in the Scheduled Castes category. But when she wanted to join BHU’s five-year course in Mathematics and Computing, she fell short of the admission fee. Helpless, she petitioned the high court, which told the university and the Education Ministry’s seat allocation body to admit her.

Very thankful of them! ✨ Just they should also order to open the colleges, since even kindergarten students are going to their schools, but we IITians are sitting at home, doing online formalities!

from the depths of despair and hatred emerges humanity and hope. India will never lose its secular identity with persons and actions as these no matter however much the despotic and communal forces try to contort and rewrite our great countries ethos and history.
Good will prevail eventually and the signs of this have started showing.

Dalits don't have to pay any fees whatsoever. Their entire fee is 0. I can't seem to understand the circumstances of this case.

Can they do the same for a bright general category student ? The answer is no ! . the reason is the reservation which is given on the basis of caste not on economical status unlike other countries that's why all the bright students who don't have future here are moving outside the India !

There are many below poverty line Brahmin girls...why the current justice system not be fair to all irrespective of caste system or religion?

I am a brahmin but I did not had fee to pay for graduation and had to support my family financially, so I had to stop my education and start working as a salesman. Only Dalits are poor is it so. This society is so hypocrite, you think only ST SC are poor no man We Brahmins are also poor, most of them will question my english here but I was good in studies and especially English anyways I don't trust this fucking democracy and partial Judiciary of this country. Now most of you will say that state run colleges are there, bro I am from Jharkhand here there is no infrastructure you know very well, it's a useless pathetic state, NO SCHOOLS, NO COLLEGES and NO HOSPITAL for the poor. I studied in a School run by a charitable trust.
