Land Rover has introduced the 2025 model year updates for its Defender lineup, enhancing both luxury and power. The 2025 Defender marks a significant upgrade in the SUV’s interior and engine capabilities, aligning it closer to the high-end features found in the Range Rover series.

A highlight of the new model year is the Sedona Edition of the Defender 110, which is a limited-time offering inspired by the hues of the Arizona desert. This special edition features a striking Sedona Red paint, unique hood decals, and 22-inch alloy wheels in Gloss Black. The edition is rounded off with an Extended Black Pack on the exterior, reinforcing the vehicle’s robust yet stylish appearance.

Under the hood, the new Defender D350 comes equipped with a potent 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine that incorporates mild-hybrid technology, delivering 345 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque—an improvement of 49 hp and 37 lb-ft over its predecessor. This enhancement ensures more robust and effortless performance in towing and overtaking scenarios.

Inside, the Defender can be outfitted with the new Signature Interior Pack, which is optional on the X-Dynamic HSE but standard on the X, V8, and Sedona Edition models. This package introduces luxurious climate seats with redesigned winged headrests, 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory, and heated third-row seats in the 130 model. The upgraded upholstery combines Windsor Leather with Kvadrat, Ultrafabrics, and a Suedecloth headlining, creating a refined cabin atmosphere.

For families or those needing more space, the Defender 130 offers an optional Captain Chairs Pack. This feature converts the second row into two individual seats with heating and cooling, reducing seating capacity but increasing comfort and accessibility to the rear seats.

The 2025 Defender is already available in the UK and Europe, with expectations to launch in North America soon. In addition, Land Rover has announced an upcoming V8-powered Octa model, focusing on superior off-road capabilities, set to expand the Defender’s robust portfolio further.

The captains chairs will be a great option! Should have added that years ago.

I really dislike the stop and start feature in previous models. I wonder if it’s still implemented…

Surprised this isn’t electric! JLR said they were making the switch to complete electric in 2025! Or have I got it wrong?

I really like the interior however I can’t get past that ugly exterior. The front looks absolutely ridiculous. It looks like a pig, and it is so long and the bodies too short for the length of the vehicle.

I htink all most people ACTUALLY NEED is one good SUV for our real world everyday uses. Driven with our mediocred driving skillséexperience. Well neer push any sportscar or Super car even HALFway to their potential on public roads and live to talk about it. Possibly killing ourselves or others trying (hence al the street racing accidents and fatalities).

the cityésuburb roads are NOT designed for sportscarséSupercars (e.g. pot holes, cracks, bumpsédips.... broken glass, grease....etc.)...driven alongside other drivers or various skill levels...heh....time to WAKE UP :)) My only quesiton is...how reliable are Land rovers and rnge rovers todayÉÉÉ I heard theyève had an iffy record....

This car is an absolute disaster! The engine keeps failing without fail. It's gained quite the reputation for being the most dreadful 4x4 vehicle globally. Every time, the value of these cars plummets to virtually nothing within just a month.

Ok, first, Sedona red looks brown, not red, the interior is terrible, no continuity just random buttons and gauges like a tractor, not refined or elegant for such a high price. The wheels are always so f boring on this brand, a 5 spine basic black? Worst of all, the odd shifter placement is completely unnecessary in the year of no knob required, and, the dumbest design feature ever, is the accessory cover on the exterior window that will always trigger images of a car window sticker, especially when white. This vehicle could have been so much more than its currently overpriced trash condition.
