Are you sure that is a '25 Defender and not a '24??? No dealer within 1, 000 miles of me has a '25 in stock...all the ones listed are "in Production". And every model, even the most basic '25 model you can configure on their website has the larger 11" screen.

MY2025 Defenders come with the larger 11.4 inch touchscreen standard. That's a 10 inch screen; must be a 2024 or older model.

I don’t know anything. I always overpay for cars, but I’ve just ordered defender in Britain and I’m waiting six months for it!
But it’s brilliant tactic by Land Rover because they’re not oversupplying and they’re only building what they’re selling and it keeps the prices up 🤷. they find their market price or they won’t sell.

Was able to negotiate a 2.5% discount on a 2025 90 county build out of territory. But you are right, by default things are locked down reducing internal competition amongst dealers. External pressure developing along with a model growing long in the tooth (when considering most brands are burning and turning by year 6-7).. it will be interesting to see how Tata handles the inevitable slump in sales.. open the dealer territory network (go with the model most do, and pillage the dealer margins) or ride it out and bank on a re-design to restart the cycle…

I like to buy and hold, not lease under warranty forever. For that reason, I can't rely on a Range Rover product. No matter how attractive and capable a rig like the Defender is. I know that it will eventually let me down. And saving a few hundred dollars off MSRP won't solve that problem. For that reason, it looks like the GX for me. At least once I see clear skies for that new engine they put in them.

I know of 5 people who purchased theirs new (3 were custom ordered). Every single one had issues in under 1 year. But that is only 5 defenders, maybe yours will be a good one.

That looks like a 2024 Defender. The phone charging pad is flat where as the 2025 it is at an angle. All screen is supposed to be 11.4 inches in 2025.

I think JD Power may disagree with you that Landrover can't be beat (beaten??) It’s not such good news for Land Rover owners, whose cars rank the lowest of any passenger vehicle in the United States. Though its standing improved somewhat from 2022’s ranking of 284 PP100, Land Rover ranks as the least reliable badge at 273 PP100 for 2023.

It used to be impossible to get an extended warranty for this brand. Don't know if that is still true. Anyone know?
