This quick tutorial will cover the very basics of the game development framework - LibGDX, and will cover how to develop, design and test a simple android game. Using the software Android Studio I will show you how to can create a phone emulator without having to have an android phone to test your game.

for some reason, the "run" option doesn't appear on the AndroidLauncher. Game works fine on desktop

Hi. On my phone, the circle is not round but an ellipse. Am I missing something?

5:02 I have not got those folders, just one with my project name, in this case 'Android Game'. Inside is android, core and desktop folders but no Android launcher in the android folder. I see no java and manifests folders.

and one error:
"could not get unknown property 'classesDir' for main classes of type

thanks! Im really trying to dig out information about best frameworks for mobile games (2D)..

there is really little information about it and its hard to find over the "Unity" cloud and noise on the net..

so my questions are - from performance wise what will be "better" Cocos2d-x? or LibGDX for android and SpriteKit for IOS? or Unity? or something else?

also so little updated (other then this vid :)) about LibGDX in 2019.. is still in use? yes? no? why?

sorry really frustrated from not being able to understand what is going on..

Just a note Im an experienced programmer and being developing html5 games over a year so well familiar with how to work with a game engine and don't have any problem to pick up a new language if needed

Disliked because font size is very small and i can't see words, even though i use 1080 HD but without fullscreen cant see .
