Instead of painting terrain height in locations, move the locations. This video shows you how to automate some basic shapes, specifically a circle to create a bay or guaranteed land mass. This is a strong designer tool as is, but also is a steppingstone to even greater terrain tools.

Just found your channel and man, I wish I'd had these videos back when I was getting started in Unity! So much great information here and you really explain the process rather than only demonstrating what you're doing. Thanks for sharing, keep up the great work.

Thank you for the tutorials. From this, I was able to create a sloped mountain area. But after this, I tried to get a "agent" find a destination. Baking the mesh and then showing the path for the agent to the destination was correct, but then the agent turned away and even finds a way to get further away from the destination. Will there be a tutorial following with nav-meshes, or does anyone have an idea what went wrong?
