Saw The Who in 1967 on one of those silly package tours they used to do in the U.K. where each band would be do a “turn” for about 20 minutes each. The Who were top of the bill but ran over their allotted time and the management pulled the curtains on them. Townsend ripped the curtains open and proceeded to smash his guitar all over the orchestra pit. My brother and me looked at each other with our jaws on the floor. This was my first live gig and one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The impression they left on me as a 15 year old kid is buried deep in my psyche.

I always wondered how much money John Entwistle saved by not destroying his equipment

I just love how during the bass solo they don't put the camera on Entwistle not even once

~ Despite some crappy editing (No shots of John Entwistle during the bass solo, putting in a visual segment from another song), this stands up as one of the best clips of The Who on stage. This is pure energy, embodied in a three minute clip.

Absolutely love this.

I was an angry young man then, I lived this song, now I'm 68 and they sing it to me. What goes around comes around.
