Long Life (2) - A full life-span: 70 or 120 years?

Many scriptures reveal God's will is for us to have a Long and Healthy Life, whereas the enemy wants to steal our blessings and kill, that is cut our life short (John 10:10). The length of our life is not fixed but depends on our BELIEVING and our LIVING. Many take the 70 years of Psalm 90:10 to be the full measure of a man's life. We show that this limit applied to the cursed wilderness-generation and does not apply to a New Testament Christian under the blessing of God! Rather Psalm 91:16 applies to us, if we are walking with God: "With LONG LIFE will I SATISFY him." We show that the Biblical definition of a full human life-span is 120 years (Genesis 6:3). We need to renew our minds to this, so we don't see ourselves as old and past it, when in fact we are only in middle-age, for "as a man thinks in his heart, so he is".

It's in the book of Jasher 5:6-11 that the 120 years is the time Noah had before the flood. The book of Jasher is spoken of in the KJV

120 years in this context, refers to 120 of the 50th year Jubilee Sabbaths.  There is no mistake on this.


  
Years within the context of Genesis 6:3 is defined by chiastic structure of the Bible as Jubilee years. 



God would not have NOT done this.  He reveals everything that we need to know, and we needed to know this.

Hi there,

At first I didn't understand the 120 years. People lived longer and obviously a lot less but, when you multiply this by a Jubilee the it gets interesting. How can you know the time of man when people die at different ages. The Jubilee is a constant. So, 120x50=6000. The Hebrew calendar is 5777 and this is a Jubilee year.

Interesting times.
