How to Use COLLECTIONS in Microsoft Edge

That was the best explanation I've seen for collections. I LOVED the fact that you can make a note, copy text (very handy as I have a "Quotes" file that I keep in Dropbox Paper), and the killer use case is being able to send the links anywhere, not just to Microsoft applications. That saves so much time copying and pasting links. The export to Excel function is brilliant as I have been thinking of making a few directory sites. Thanks so much for making this video, really appreciate it.

I have two questions after your wonderful introduction. 1) when I tried to add a note, my UI didn't have many formats as you were at 1:39/3:42. Why? 2) when I have more and more collections, can they be organized as a tree-like structure or archived? By the way, your videos help me a lot. Thank you.

Geez moite, that was beaut.
What no-one has made plain with Collections is how to use one set and not another. You show how to 'Open all' tabs in a Collection, but they all open beside the existing one-hundred tabs already in use. Yes, they're marked, and can be closed as a set, but why shouldn't we be able to swap from one Collection to another?
Firefox has a brilliant extension 'Simple Tab Groups' that lets you close all current tabs as you select another group. Easy! You can easily move any tab to any other group, but you don't have to have a mixture of tabs or groups open at one time.
It seems a wasted opportunity that the Edge developers haven't taken up.

[Update] Leila tells me that the 'Open all' option can open a completely new Edge window along with the existing window with all the mass of tabs in that one - until you have a huge number of windows open as you move from Collection to Collection. That kind of defeats the purpose of grouping, but on a larger scale, doesn't it?

I used to add my local pdf to Collections, but nowadays it doesn't due to updated versions. How can be fixed in the updated versions.

no matter what i do.. if i enable it, reset bing, no matter what it does not want to show up on the top corner

my collections comes up with a message saying "content is block. contact the site owner to fix this issue" I have tried several thing to fix this be whenever I close it after fixing it, it breaks again

I admit collections was revolutionary but has caused me unbelievable headaches with sync across different devices. They have acknowledged this issue since 2021 but have done very little to resolve it. They appear to keep on saying that a fix is on the way, several versions later and most of us Edge users are unable to sync collections across our PC, Laptop and Mobile.

i've tried every fix, i've tried reinstalling, deleting cloud data and nothing works. Even worse so on windows 11 the collections sync button has now disappeared. I'm so frustrated with the edge team considering sync across other areas of microsoft seems to work ok.

The problem with Microsoft edge collection is that it loads in the background Hogging up all met my resources, -My computer response time, my time, unable to get a job done. It is just wasted time it is useless unless I know how to control it from loading. For example, I could be having this 5 edge browser open but then when I go to the task manager it says I have a 100 edge windows open. And it is those my computer down it has a lot of wasted productivity every day.How do I stop the Microsoft edge collection from loading?
