I love the new Zilla habitats! My kids caught a big spider many years ago, they kept her in a 1 gallon pickle jar with holes punched in the lid. I said "her" for a of spiderlings! We failed to realise that the holes in the lid, while small enough to contain Mom, were just an invitation to the great "outdoors" for the babies. 😅 20 years later we still have many spiders running around our house, fairly sure they are thanks to generation removed of course! It was a great learning opportunity for the kids. She was with us for about 18 months. We even had a cricket farm set up to feed Momma. GREAT, now I need another spider!

Love the look of the TerraOrb as a finished product, but not entirely sure if I am in love with the sound it makes when it opens. I'm weird about scraping/friction sounds and that one would definitely drive me nuts.
Also love the looks of the small Zilla Micro Habitats, though not in love with the idea of it being held together by rubber bands. Personal preference on that one, I'm sure. Having said that, I used to use those acrylic Beanie Baby boxes for all types of things, but they had no convenient access into the habitat save for the top lid. Zilla definitely improved on that by having the small doors and such which I like!

I used large pickle jars when I was a kid, some 30+ years ago.
The Tera Orb should come with two door stops, so you can lock the door in place.

You should check out and do a video on the Automatic Reptile Feeder sold by Verge Pets! It dispenses crickets automatically while you're away! I just preordered mine.

There is an Etsy shop called Stroodies that sells incredibly unique shaped hides and food dishes. Mostly for geckos but the "bubble lofts" that he sells are so awesome, and so unique and popular. Check it out!

Do the Zilla micro habitat work with a heating pad. Like a small one. I have the largest terrestrial one and I wanted to put a pad on either the bottom or side. If not. How else could I heat the enclosure? Thanks
