I took my "old" Mini 2 out yesterday and was really pleased with the sunny day results. It was quiet once it was beyond 40' or so and the video/photos were just fine. The Mini 3/p is better but I just can't see spending the money at this time. The FW for the Mini 2 won't broadcast RID and doesn't legally need to for recreational flying in the USA so I must say the Mini 2 is still a keeper and will remain so for years to come.

I appreciate how less intrusive the Mini 3 Pro sounds when in flight. I encounter a number of people who don't like the sound of drones that it kinda makes me conscious of disturbing people when I fly drones

I'm glad they made the Mini 3 look as similar as the Mini 3 Pro in form if not on all all of its features as it definitely benefits a lot from the intelligent design of its body!

The mini 3's pitch is inherited from the M3P's pitch, which enables its rearward obstacle avoidance to see more when flying backwards, plus side benefit of being more aero yes.

I absolutely hate drone noise, but I was REALLY surprised when I saw someone flying a mini 3. It was basically super quiet beyond like 15-20ft. And when it was close it wasn't this annoying angry bees buzzing noise. I'm comparing real life experience to the DJI spark which is what I thought drones sounded like...

Great comparison, Ian. I think the ear is a great way to show this. The decibel meters are fine, but they do not “hear” things the way the human ear does. Cheers from Wisconsin.

Amazing little drones. FlytPath did an identical setup recently where he had all three hovering for comparison purposes and someone jokingly asked whether he had Government approval to fly three drones at the same time 😆😆 At this juncture, I have seen almost every permutation of comparative tests between these 3 except that no one has yet tried turning off the OA on the Mini 3 Pro before doing a head-to-head battery endurance hover test with the Mini 3 Lite 😉😛

The difference between the Mini 2 and the Mini 3's was very pronounced I couldn't tell to much between the min 3's still happy with my Mini 3 Pro, good video thanks again for your work 👍👍👍

Could be that its just a bit lighter maybe. When you use the extended battery on the pro I have noticed its just a bit louder. So weight could be the factor..Thanks Ian again 👍 Hmmm specs say the 3 is 248g, doubt the 1g would make a difference.

Firstly, love your videos. Secondly wondering if I could ask your opinion around the updated AMC on visual line of sight for Drones. >250m it is almost impossible to see the mini 3...depending on weather. What are your thoughts!
