Pro Tools Crashes / Won't Open Session (4 ways to fix it!)

When Pro Tools Crashes, it is the absolute worst! If you have a mix deadline and your Pro Tools session won’t open, before you give up on it and start over…try these 4 options and hopefully one of them can salvage all your hard work!

I’ve dealt with many sessions that wouldn’t open over the years and I’m glad to say there was always a way to fix it. I never had to start a mix over from scratch and I certainly wouldn’t want you to have to either!

At least one of these 4 methods has worked for me 100% of the time so give them a try!

The freezing worked for me but some plugins are causing it to crash it seems. I've had this problem ever since I updated my Mac to Ventura.

All your ideas were really great ones, thank you so much for your video. Unfortunately, the problem in my case seems to be the Waves´ Plugins, so I had to uninstall all of those for my session to reopen (be it the original, the copy or the one with imported data). I´m checking if re-installing them makes them available and active again. If not, I´ll just have to proceed with other plugins that are not Waves´.
