I hope the laptop was worth losing the only father figure she ever had. The mom may not be interested, but she didn't have to abuse the trust she was given. I actually believe she was supposed to pay for the laptop as well. There was 2 years of deferred payments, then she was supposed to pay. The Defendant used the timing of the purchase to say it was a Christmas gift. Not nice, she'll probably regret it as time goes by.
