500, 000 is the shock wave that Donald Trump created with his slow, inept response to the pandemic. If he actually exerted himself from the very beginning of this pandemic last year, not rejected science and not play politics with American lives, a lot of those people would still be alive today. They paid the price for his bungling incompetence. A lot of innocent blood lost to COVID that was largely preventable. There's still a lot of overwhelming, genuine expressions of collective grief out there.
