She is right, she has freedom of speech and right to a grievance. This mayor is abusing his position.

Mayor Hall: I don't respect the US Constitution, what I have here is a piece of paper that says I can ignore your freedom of speech.

What a coward of a police officer. Just blindly obeying words from a guy sitting in a chair. What an absolute coward.

What's the point of having a City Council Meeting where citizens can speak but can't complain about the Mayor, the City Council or any other government employee. Having people sign an agreement to not complain about any government employee in order to allow them to speak violates our First Amendment. Cohen v. California makes it clear we can complain about the government and its agents.

No town Hall or city council has the authority or power to take away first amendment rights? Show us all when the constitution ends? Any city council or government that takes taxpayers' money can not take any First Amendment rights or constitutional rights away. Sue them all and individually

Thank you Channel 13 for publishing this, this is exactly what local news should be doing. If they simply disagreed with the facts this woman presented, they should have argued or asked for sources. From the lack of a cogent argument and using the force of the state, it seems clear this smells bad. I'm being generous to say it smells bad.

She's not some sovereign citizen rambling about satellites or some nonsense, her points are clear and the reaction points to corruption.

Policy doesn't Trump the Constitution. She now has a good lawsuit.

I listened in its entirety this woman’s comments, and she was perfectly in her right to question the Town Attorney’s high salary and proposed pay increase. At no time was she disrespectful. As a matter of fact, she sounded more intelligent, eloquent and on target when it came tomRobert’s rules. The Mayor was way out of line removing, not escorting, this woman from the council chambers. Just like at the national level, the Mayor was weaponizing his position to censor this woman. SUE! SUE! SUE!

Rules of conduct or “house policies” do not override the US constitution. Period.

So during the City Council meeting it is alright for the council to bring up an individuals name and position but if a citizen does the exact same thing during the call to the public segment she gets shut down and escorted out? Haney why are you just sitting there and didn't raise a point of order?
