He is absolutely right! For too long we have been dividing ourselves by arbitrary interest groups. LGBTQ, straight, White, Black, Cis, Trans. They matter so much less than neighborhoods, and communities of people of all differnent backgrounds that share a sense of meaning and belonging.

I believe such forces for democracy have been playing catch-up for far too long, yet for longer still we plebs have been told how important democracy is and what we must all do to protect it. This is not a criticism of Obama by any means but no politician in America has a more important job than to protect and defend the Constitution and safeguard democracy. This effort has been found wanting for the past 20 years.
